Popular American Media Streaming Plex Got Compromised

Plex recently sent out an email to customers about a security breach that may have compromised user account information.

Email stated that a third party was able to access data including emails, usernames and passwords.

Adding more it said, 'There is no indication any other personal account information has been compromised, and there’s no mention of access to private media libraries'

Plex assured customers that their financial details are safe as credit card and other payment data aren't stored on their servers.

Cause of breach was been found by Plex and their technical team taken action to prevent others using the same security flaw.

Plex mentioned that all of stored password were hashed and secured as per best practices.

Although, Users of Plex are advised to change their passwords immediately and secure their account.
